Inaugural US-Korea Industry Showcase (UKIS) By President of the 54th KSEA Administration

Greetings!

On behalf of the 54th Administration of the Korean-American Scientists and Engineers Association (KSEA), I am deeply honored to welcome you to the inaugural US-Korea Industry Showcase—UKIS 2025—right here in the greater Atlanta area.

This moment marks not only the launch of a new chapter in international collaboration, but also a celebration of the growing bridge between the United States and Korea in science, technology, and innovation. Since the early days of Korean immigration to the United States beginning in 1903—centered in Los Angeles, New York, and New Jersey—Korean Americans have contributed significantly to American society through entrepreneurship, culture, and the arts.

Today, that influence is evolving and expanding. The global rise of the Korean Wave—Hallyu—powered by K-pop, K-drama, and Korean products, has captivated millions and transformed perceptions of Korea worldwide. And now, that wave of culture, innovation, and enterprise has reached the heartland of America: Atlanta.

We are witnessing a remarkable shift. Major Korean companies such as Hyundai Motor Group, POSCO International, Hanwha Q CELLS, LG Chem, and SK On have committed billions of dollars in strategic investments across the Atlanta region. These efforts are not only transforming the regional economy through high-quality job creation, but also strengthening the global competitiveness of U.S.-Korea partnerships.

That is why UKIS 2025 is both timely and vital. This showcase creates a rare opportunity for local communities and businesses to directly engage with leading-edge Korean science and technology—what we proudly call K-S&T. Whether your interest lies in artificial intelligence, robotics, smart manufacturing, biotechnology, or aerospace and defense, you will find inspiring opportunities for B2B partnership, innovation, and investment.

We are proud to open this event to the public at no cost. We encourage entrepreneurs, students, investors, and families from across Atlanta and neighboring states to come experience the technologies shaping our shared future in this new era of AI and automation.

Thank you for joining us at UKIS 2025. I invite you to explore, connect, and be inspired.
We look forward to seeing many of you throughout the day here at the Omni Hotel
South Tower.

Welcome to UKIS!
